Genomics and Systems Biotechnology Laboratory

Robert Mifflin graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California at Irvine in 1980. He has been a Registered Professional Engineer (RPE) in California, a consultant for the embedded design of hardware and software systems, and a silicon chip architect. He has developed products for over 30 companies and hold two patents. He received an MEng in Bioengineering in 2007 and then transferred to the materials program where he is pursuing his PhD.  Robert is currently conducting research in Professor Xiaohua Huang’s Genomics and Systems Biotechnology Laboratory working on the characterization of nano materials and processes.
